This styled shoot was planned last minute. So last minute, that it's a miracle my friend Amber and I pulled it off. You see, it was only late last night that the entire idea came to fruition. We went to a haunted walk in Sackets Harbor, NY, and while we were there, we kept commenting about how awesome our tour guide looked in her cape (because it was super windy outside). On the drive home I was checking the weather because I had three photoshoots the following day, and I noticed it was still going to be windy. I  joked that we should do a shoot with our girls wearing capes. She took me seriously, so with extreme excitement, we went for it!

We decided on a witch theme to go along with the capes and we ransacked our houses looking for pieces to create costumes. Thank the Lord making costumes is my life, and I had enough stuff to pull outfits together. Amber stopped and grabbed the capes this morning, then in between my other shoots and Vada's soccer game, we made it happen! The wind was perfect, but unfortunately, the sun came out! I would have preferred the shoot to be dark and moody. If the girls weren't so cold I would have been able to get some different types of shots, but we rushed through it so they didn't freeze. Overall I'm still so happy with how they turned out, especially considering it was put together in about 5 hours! I love Halloween, it is like Christmas for me!!
