Dave & Lauren Love Story | Wedding Photographer, Adams, NY

I have been dying to blog this session ever since I took the photos, I just haven't had time! Dave is one of my husband's best friends, and he married Lauren last fall. They never had a formal wedding, so I was so excited to take these photos for them all dressed up! I was even more excited when I realized they were wearing flannel shirts for the second half of their shoot! I love flannel and I may even steal their idea for fall photos of my family! 

I used my favorite property for the shoot and the lighting was PERFECT! Dave and Lauren were awesome subjects to photograph! Lauren looked stunning in her dress with her hair and makeup all done (makeup courtesy of Backwoods Beauty Salon). I could just rave on and on about this shoot but I'll let the photos do all the talking!

Introducing Colie Lou Burt | Family Photographer, Pulaski, NY

I've been a little MIA lately and this post explains why... I finally had my baby! After being pregnant for what feels like years, I can finally introduce Colie Lou Burt to the world! Colie (pronounced COAL-ee) was born August 27, 2012. She's already trying to be like her big sister Jovie, because Jovie's birthday is August 26th! 

Originally I had different outfits picked out for the girls until two nights before the shoot. I changed my mind and came up with the idea of doing a boho/earthy shoot (inspired by Kate Moss' wedding which is probably one of the most gorgeous styled weddings ever). I borrowed a white dress from a friend, went shopping for dresses for the girls (found them both on clearance racks!) and my sister helped me whip up some quick headpieces! My talented friend Anna came and helped me take the pictures.

Twenty minutes, one time-out and two bags of fruit snacks later, the shoot was done. It seemed so quick and hectic I wasn't sure how it would turn out. Omgosh when I loaded the photos onto my computer to edit I died, they were all amazing. Anna you did a FABULOUS job taking the photos and chasing my two-year-old around!! Thank you thank you thank you!!
